Job Summary
Industrial plants and commercial builders need transformers for every new line, facility, and expansion—and they're stuck behind the same two-year+ lead times as everyone else. Fluxco turns a spec into competitive bids from 100+ global OEMs in days, then manages the project end to end. One partner, full accountability, the shortest lead time in the market. This segment is a channel sale. The engineer who writes the spec and the procurement lead who cuts the PO are rarely the same person, and the path between them runs through EPCs, general contractors, electrical contractors, consulting engineers, owner's reps, and distributors. Winning here means making each of them better off with Fluxco in the project. This is a foundational seat. You'll map the field, win the spec with the technical buyer, close the PO with procurement, and build the channel relationships that compound—then write the playbook the team scales with. You know how a project moves from spec to PO in this world, and who really decides at each step. That knowledge is the seat.
Core Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle across industrial and C&I buyers—manufacturers, commercial developers, and facility owners—from prospecting through negotiation and close.
- Sell Fluxco's lead-time advantage and single-partner accountability into projects where the transformer sits squarely on the critical path.
- Build working relationships across the channel—EPCs, GCs, electrical contractors, consulting engineers, owner's reps, and distributors—understanding how each specifies, influences, and procures.
- Bridge the split between engineering and procurement: earn the spec with the technical buyer, then close the PO with the team that owns the budget.
- Work each deal with applications engineering and the OEM/supply team from RFQ to competitive bids to signed PO, and stay accountable to the customer through delivery.
- Build the industrial and C&I playbook—target accounts, channel map, repeatable motion—and feed pricing, positioning, and product signals to the executive team.
- Keep every deal's stakeholders, stages, and next steps current, so forecasts hold up.
Requirements
- Experience: 7+ years in enterprise B2B sales—electrical infrastructure, power or capital equipment, selling both to and through EPCs, GCs, electrical contractors, and industrial or commercial owners. A consistent record of meeting or beating quota.
- Channel command: You know how EPCs structure projects, how GCs manage equipment vendors, and how owner's reps and distributors shape the buy—and you can run a multi-party deal without losing the thread.
- Technical credibility: Fluent enough in transformers, switchgear, and power distribution to hold a real conversation with engineers and procurement.
- Network: Standing relationships in the industrial, contractor, or distributor ecosystem that shorten our path into real projects.
- Travel: Up to 25–30% for customer meetings, site visits, and key industry events.
