SUMMARY: The Contracts/Subcontracts Administrator manages end-to-end subcontract lifecycle administration and task order execution within a fast-paced federal contracting environment. This role drives post-award operational management and pre-award capture support, combining sharp attention to detail with proactive internal and external stakeholder service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct post-award administration of active federal prime contracts and subcontracts, ensuring full compliance with terms, conditions, FAR/DFARS requirements, and company policy through final contract close-out.
- Execute day-to-day post-award actions including contract modifications, funding incremental actions, period of performance extensions, subcontract flow-downs, and option year exercises.
- Monitor prime contract and subcontractor cost, schedule, performance, and burn rates; evaluate monthly invoices for accuracy, milestone completion, and funding availability under CPFF, CPAF, FFP, T&M, and IDIQ structures.
- Resolve post-award operational issues, performance disputes, baseline change requests, and subcontractor cure/show-cause notices in coordination with program leadership.
- Participate actively in Program Management Reviews (PMRs), progress meetings, and financial reviews to track deliverable compliance, CPARS inputs, and contract health.
- Provide targeted pre-award proposal and acquisition support as needed, including issuing NDAs, establishing Teaming Agreements, issuing subcontractor RFPs, and evaluating proposal submissions.
- Maintain complete, audit-ready, and ISO-compliant post-award contract files, tracking systems, and closeout document sets.
- Coordinate administrative contract requirements, including baseline security tasks, visitor requests, and property management compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of experience of federal contract/subcontract coordination experience with an emphasis on rigorous compliance, procedural accuracy, and post-award execution.
- Solid understanding of FAR/DFARS principles, contract structures (CPFF, FFP, T&M, IDIQ), and lifecycle workflow processes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational, interpersonal skills, and negotiation capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong track record of error-free document preparation, file maintenance, and data entry.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to obtain a clearance.
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
COMPENSATION:
- Annual Salary: $70,000-85,000 (flexible based on experience)
