Job Summary

As a Payroll Cash Management Analyst in the Manila PayOps team, you will support the accurate and timely review and validation of US payroll transactions and payroll reports.

Job responsibilities

  • Review and validate payroll transactions and payroll reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform SOX-aligned payroll control activities, including reconciling payroll reports to GL postings and investigating variances.
  • Reconcile payroll-related cash transactions to bank statements and support timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Maintain documentation and evidence to support audit readiness and payroll control compliance.
  • Prepare and deliver payroll cash management reporting, metrics, and reconciliations for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with US and India teams to resolve payroll, GL, and cash breaks and share best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to automation initiatives (e.g., Alteryx, Pega) to enhance controls and efficiency.
  • Uphold data confidentiality and integrity when handling payroll, banking, and employee-related data.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Demonstrate 1+ year of experience in payroll operations, cash/treasury operations, finance operations, or HR shared services, with hands-on exposure to reconciliations and reporting.
  • Demonstrate experience (or strong aptitude) in performing reconciliations, including reconciling payroll-related cash transactions to bank statements and researching/resolving reconciling items.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and data accuracy, with the ability to identify breaks, perform root-cause analysis, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Demonstrate experience (or strong aptitude) for control execution and maintaining evidence/documentation to support audits and compliance requirements.
  • Show familiarity with payroll and/or financial systems (e.g., Oracle HCM Payroll or similar), and strong Excel skills for reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.
  • Communicate clearly and work collaboratively across global teams and stakeholders (Payroll, HR, Finance, Treasury), including partnering with teams in the US and India.
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and control discipline.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance when handling payroll, banking, and employee-related data.
  • Display basic knowledge of automation/workflow tools (e.g., Alteryx, Pega) or willingness to learn and contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience supporting US payroll operations, including understanding of key US payroll regulations and compliance considerations.
  • Experience performing payroll-to-GL reconciliations, including investigation and resolution of variances.
  • Experience working in a large corporate environment with standardized controls, governance, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience with payroll automation projects.
  • Certification in payroll or HR systems.
  • HR/HRIS coursework or exposure is a plus.
