Sales Support Specialist - Maternity Leave coverage

We now have a great opportunity within our Cloud team to cover an 8 month maternity leave vacancy. (The likely period of employment will be approximately 8 months including a training period and handover at the end of the assignment).

In this role of Cloud Operations, you will work closely with the Cloud Distribution Sales teams. The incumbent will be the point-of-contact for Cloud Sales and other sales teams and serve as an internal business partner to the other functional teams.

The key components of this role is to provide outstanding sales support and customer service to our customers and internal stakeholders through outbound and inbound telephone contact and other electronics means covering on-boarding of our Partners, quotation and sales order processing for products, services and renewals.

Training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Key responsibilities of this role can best be summarised:

  • This is a vendor focused role within the Customer Success team which reports and is aligned specifically the Cloud vendors.

  • Maintains and develops the operational level(s) of the vendor relationship.

  • Liaising and assisting the Cloud Distribution Sales team with all aspects of the Cloud Partner onboarding process as well as being primary contact for new Cloud reseller Partners.

  • Work with the over-all Cloud team to build a best practice program and to continually strive for excellence.

  • End-to-end involvement in the opportunity from quote to cash (support to PDM/ BDM), and perform reporting functions on an ongoing and timely basis, including but not limited to quotation generation, sales order generation, outbound documentation, follow-ups with internal Finance/Credit and Compliance depts. and customers.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Minimum High School Certificate (or equivalent).

  • Professional communication skills (both verbal and written).

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.

  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proactive and customer service orientation with the ability to work autonomously.

  • Experience with bills of materials, quoting and ERP systems (desirable).

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in IT systems for quotation, order entry, customer relationship management.

  • Solid knowledge of applicable vendor products and services.

  • Solid understanding of sales processes.

  • IT industry knowledge would be desirable but not essential.
