Position Summary:
- The Pharmacist is responsible for delivering safe, patient-centered medication management and pharmacist-directed clinical services while ensuring efficient and compliant pharmacy operations. This role practices at the top of licensure to provide care in accordance with federal and state law, statewide protocols, and WellPower Collaborative Practice Agreements (CPAs), supporting optimal patient outcomes and evolving pharmacy services. Provide support to current and future initiatives as outlined by pharmacy and upline WellPower leadership. Engages in all aspects of Pharmaceutical Care, including reviewing and interpreting prescriptions, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities, prescription dispensing, maintaining records, counseling consumers. Review drug therapies according to professional standards and state and federal legal requirements. Provide medication information to patients, staff, and other health professionals.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $57.69 - $86.54 per hour
- On-Call Weekend Pay - $70 for coverage or $275 if medications need to be filled

The posted range represents the full hiring range. Offers will not exceed this range, the majority of candidates are placed near the midpoint based on experience and qualifications.
Job Duties & Functions:
• Medication Management & Clinical Care
• Evaluate prescriptions for appropriateness, safety, and therapeutic effectiveness
• Perform prospective drug utilization review using patient-specific data
• Counsel patients on medication use, adherence, side effects, and expected outcomes
• Provide pharmacist-delivered clinical services, including but not limited to:
o Medication therapy management (MTM)
o Medication administration, including long-acting injectable therapies (LAIs)
o Preventive services and screenings as authorized
• Implement and adhere to statewide protocols and WellPower clinical protocols
• Provide pharmacist-delivered clinical services under Collaborative Practice Agreements (CPAs), including initiating, modifying, and monitoring therapy as authorized, and delivering protocol-driven care such as chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes), tobacco cessation, preventive services, and other population health initiatives to expand access and improve outcomes in alignment with licensure and statewide protocols.

• Verify all prescriptions for accuracy and legal compliance prior to dispensing
• Direct and support pharmacy technician workflow
• Ensure accurate documentation in dispensing, billing, and inventory systems
• Maintain medication inventory integrity, including controlled substances and hazardous drugs
• Support efficient workflow and reduction of operational inefficiencies

• Comply with all Federal, state, and board of pharmacy regulations

• Responsibilities may evolve to support new pharmacist-delivered services, clinical protocols, and care models in alignment with licensure, organizational priorities, and regulatory standards
• This role includes participation in the implementation of new services, protocols, and care delivery models consistent with pharmacist licensure and training
• Other duties/projects as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharmacy Doctorate. Valid Colorado Pharmacist License in good standing.
· EXPERIENCE:
o 1-2 years of experience as licensed pharmacist preferred.
o Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds preferred.
o Experience working on diverse teams (preferred).
Work Location: 4141 E Dickenson Pl, Denver, CO 80222
Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday Standard Business hours of 8 am to 5:30 pm (32 hours per week). This role will also do an on call shift, one Saturday each month.
Physical Requirements: Requires sitting, standing, bending, and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, the telephone and other office and/or clinical equipment.
