The opportunity:
As an Application Portfolio Manager (R&D and Engineering IT - Mechanical CAD), you will own and govern a global portfolio of Mechanical CAD and related engineering applications across the full lifecycle (plan, build, run, optimize, retire). You will ensure service governance using ITIL practices, lifecycle decisions, roadmap alignment, vendor performance, and cost/license optimization. A core expectation is to evaluate, pilot, and scale AI-enabled capabilities in CAD and engineering tools and use AI-powered insights to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.In this role, you will collaborate closely with Service Managers, Product Owners, Engineering Business Stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture, and strategic vendors. You will ensure run excellence while driving modernization, rationalization, compliance, and future-ready innovation across the Mechanical CAD ecosystem.
How you'll make an impact:
Own and govern the Mechanical CAD application portfolio (e.g., PTC, Autodesk, and Bentley solutions, simulation tools) across the full lifecycle.
Define and maintain portfolio strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle positioning.
Ensure ITIL-based service governance across incident, problem, change, release, and service level management.
Drive service stability, availability, performance, and compliance.
Evaluate embedded AI and generative AI capabilities within CAD, PLM and engineering tools.
Pilot and scale AI-driven capabilities with vendors and engineering stakeholders.
Apply analytics to improve portfolio insights, demand analysis, and decisions.
Govern onboarding of new applications into the run organization.
Track and optimize software license usage and compliance.
Support financial forecasting, cost transparency, and vendor commercial discussions.
Support the Service Manager on transversal topics such as standards, service delivery procedures, demand management, and project alignment.
Contribute to standardization, rationalization, and transformation initiatives.
Ensure compliance with applicable internal and external regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Enable user adoption through communication and knowledge sharing.

Your background:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information systems, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Should have 4 -15 years of experience in application, service, or portfolio management in a global environment.
Should have experience in, Autodesk Forma (ACC), Autodesk Fusion, Fusion Manage and Autodesk CAD (Revit, Inventor) tools.
Prior experience as an Application Manager, Product Owner, Product Manager, Platform Manager, System Manager, or similar role.
Proven experience with ITIL-based application lifecycle governance.
Hands-on exposure to AI-enabled features and analytics in engineering or IT operations.
Working project management knowledge of Agile / SAFe methodologies; ITIL or Agile certifications are a plus.
Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Teams).
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
