Manage and advance the clinical services of the pharmacy department to support a high level of patient care and the appropriate utilization of drug therapy
Serve as a resource on infectious diseases for pharmacists, nurses, and physicians
Provide direct patient care activities including disease-state management, pharmacotherapeutic and pharmacokinetic monitoring, adverse drug event (ADE) surveillance, and patient and staff education related to infectious diseases
Document clinical interventions and patient care activities accurately and consistently
Promote appropriate formulary use and coordinate the procurement of non-formulary drugs when clinically necessary
Develop advanced clinical services, including pharmacy-managed protocols and medication use management programs — clinical guidelines, critical pathways, disease management, and drug use programs
Conduct quality assurance initiatives, clinical pathway development, and assist with departmental readiness for regulatory audits
Serve as a mentor and preceptor to staff pharmacists, pharmacy students, and pharmacy residents through example, training, and education
Review pharmacy and organizational policies and procedures related to drug use
Assist the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program leader in the implementation, maintenance, and advancement of stewardship initiatives to support organizational goals related to antimicrobial optimization, patient outcomes, and regulatory compliance

Pay Range:
$50.49 - $93.91Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
