Job Description

Primary Responsibility:

Provides support and assistance with various human resources functions, including payroll, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, Family and Medical Leave (FML), and workers’ compensation. 

Primary Duties: 

Reviews Workday reports to ensure timely approval of time and absences, correction of exceptions, and proper justification of entries; sends bi-weekly and monthly payroll email reminders. 

Maintains and assigns schedules in Workday. 

Audits and enters payroll-related documents into Workday within time allocations for regular and supplemental payroll processing. 

Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of university employees. 

Processes and provides employee support with benefit plans, including enrollment, changes, and terminations. 

Reconciles payroll benefit deductions with the TAMUS benefits administration system. 

Assists with leave benefits, FML, and workers’ compensation. 

Assists with verifications of employment and prior state service verifications. 

Serves as back up to Manager, HR Operations. 

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience: 

(60) semester hours of college coursework and (3) years human resource or payroll experience, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Starting salary for this position is $16.62 hourly and is negotiable depending on education and experience.
