Join us and experience a flexible, supportive environment where your well-being is prioritized and your potential can thrive.

The Role

The Role:
As a Senior Technical Consultant (Shift Lead) in the Shared Data/ODSP Factory, you will lead on‑shift technical delivery for tenant‑to‑tenant migrations of collaboration content across Microsoft 365, typically SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and associated Teams/M365 Group content structures. You will run a controlled, metrics‑driven migration factory, ensuring runbooks are executed consistently, migrations are scheduled and monitored, permissions/metadata fidelity is validated and defects are remediated efficiently. You will be accountable for shift throughput, quality gates, evidence capture and operational reporting while coordinating escalations and ensuring seamless handovers across the 24x7 model.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical execution of SharePoint/OneDrive/ODSP migration waves during your shift, ensuring runbook adherence and predictable throughput.
- Own shift triage for failures (throttling, permissions mapping issues, blocked files, metadata/versioning exceptions, large list/library constraints, URL/path constraints).
- Validate readiness: source/target access, migration accounts/consents, pre‑checks, quota constraints and cutover schedule alignment.
- Configure, schedule and monitor migration jobs using the approved toolset (native and/or third‑party), proactively identifying risks before they become wave blockers.
- Enforce quality gates: sampling/validation outcomes, permission parity checks, metadata fidelity and user experience verification.
- Maintain operational control of the shift backlog and prioritise tasks based on cutover plans, dependencies and SLA.
- Produce and manage evidence packs per wave: migration reports, exception logs, remediation records, sign‑off artefacts and audit trail completeness.
- Coordinate handovers with clear exceptions, blockers and next actions; ensure continuity of long‑running migration jobs across shifts.
- Drive continuous improvement: update runbooks, known error catalogues and operational dashboards; reduce recurring failures and rework.
- Manage escalations (vendor support, platform support pathways, programme technical leadership) with complete diagnostic context and clear asks.

Who You Are

Must‑Have (or equivalent experience):
- Delivered at least one production tenant‑to‑tenant migration of SharePoint Online and/or OneDrive (ODSP) content as a senior SME/lead.
- Deep expertise in SharePoint Online/OneDrive architecture concepts relevant to migration: site structures, permissions models, sharing/links, metadata/versioning, information architecture constraints.
- Hands‑on experience with migration tooling in this space (e.g., ShareGate and/or Quest ODM or equivalent) and the ability to run migrations at scale.
- Proven ability to run migration operations in a factory model: scheduling, monitoring, exception handling and quality gates at high volume.
- Strong understanding of security/compliance impacts in migrated content (sensitivity labels/retention behaviours where applicable; access governance, least privilege).
- Strong runbook discipline and evidence capture practice; comfortable being held to audit standards for every wave.

Good‑to‑Have:
- Experience migrating Teams‑associated content dependencies (files in SharePoint, OneDrive artefacts linked to user data used by collaboration features) and coordinating sequencing.
- Familiarity with multi‑geo considerations and URL/domain nuances that can impact migration execution.
- Microsoft certifications relevant to Microsoft 365 administration (e.g., MS‑102) or SharePoint specialism, or equivalent experience.
- Experience using PowerShell/Graph for reporting, bulk checks, or automation around migration readiness and validation.
- Knowledge of data governance, information architecture and content lifecycle management in Microsoft 365.

Interpersonal & Consulting Skills:
- Keeps shift teams focused on plan and standards; prevents uncontrolled variation in execution.
- Communicates clearly with upstream/downstream disciplines (Identity, Teams, Adoption, Security) to manage dependencies and unblock progress.
- Escalates early and responsibly with evidence; avoids “late surprises”.
- Coaches engineers to solve problems systematically (root cause, pattern recognition, runbook refinement).
- Strong stakeholder communication habits suitable for a major programme: concise, factual, action‑oriented updates.
- Builds trust through calm leadership during cutovers and operational incidents.

Typical Deliverables / KPIs:
- Throughput: sites/OneDrives migrated per shift; data volume migrated vs plan.
- Defect rate: percentage of migrations requiring re‑run; recurring exception types reduced over time.
- MTTR: resolution time for migration blockers and priority incidents.
- Evidence capture: percentage of waves with complete exportable reports and sign‑off records.
- SLA: scheduled cutovers achieved on time with managed risk and exceptions logged.

Shift / Working Pattern Notes:
- This role operates within a three‑shift 24x7 Factory model. The specific rota will be confirmed, but shift handovers are mandatory and performance is measured on shift outcomes. Peak cutover windows may require schedule flexibility.
