Assistant Learner Responsibility & HR Administration 

Your tasks and responsibilities

In this position, you will have the opportunity to provide administrative services and/or secretarial tasks at an organizational or corporate level. You will take on complex administrative tasks on a daily basis.

You will also demonstrate your expertise by taking responsibility for the implementation of specific business processes or programs.

The working model for this position is: On-site / Hybrid

They are mainly responsible for:

Vocational Education & Apprentices

  • Coordination and contact person for apprentices, trainers and external partners (vocational training office, vocational schools, inter-company courses, libs, Wibilea), support for apprentices in difficult situations as well as regular exchange with ABB Switzerland Apprentice responsibility

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordination of the recruitment process in cooperation with trainers, including contract processing and organization of tools/IT equipment for new apprentices

  • Event management: Organization and implementation of events (migration class information morning, career information afternoon, workshops for trainers, ABB apprenticeship graduation ceremony, Future Day, Wirtschaftswoche company visit)

HR Administration

  • Personnel administration & reporting: Creation of monthly/quarterly personnel notices (entry/exit, anniversaries). Maintain various HR lists (headcount, temp lists) and forward them to stakeholders. Processing of spontaneous applications

  • Employee Services & Support: Responsibility for badge and locker management, preparation of welcome packages and support for the Welcome Day. Contact person for HR enquiries, support wellbeing team. Selective administrative and operational support for the HR manager at the site

Education & Experience

  • Completed commercial training (KV EFZ) or equivalent and several years of experience in HR administration and/or vocational training

  • Knowledge of Swiss vocational education and training law; Knowledge of the Swiss vocational education and training system is an advantage

  • Organizational skills, initiative and very good MS Office skills

  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment of dealing with young people

  • Discretion, ability to work in a team and service orientation

  • Flexibility and resilience

  • German (native speaker or business fluent), English is an advantage
