We are looking for a Research Associate to join our LNG assets team, within our Gas & LNG research practice.

You will have responsibility for tracking the development of the Woodmac view, specifically related to LNG asset developments in Europe, Africa, Russia, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. This includes understanding and updating information on LNG regas projects, LNG supply projects, LNG contracts and LNG shipping.

You will need to be capable of operating autonomously but you will also require strong collaborative skills, as you will work with the regional gas markets and upstream teams on a variety of topics. You will create innovative reports, develop visualizations of our data sets and communicate our views to clients.

You will be a contributor to the update of our global LNG outlook and help develop our views on key LNG market trends. You will become comfortable articulating the supply and demand views and the broader short-term and long-term LNG outlook to clients and prospects.  You will also support the creation of datasets for our Global Gas Model product and build scenarios of how the future LNG market will evolve.

Through research trips, client interactions and industry events you will build your network to understand the key topics and challenges in the industry.  You will address these in your contribution to our regular deliverables and through development of specific informs, insights and webinars.

You will have relevant experience, skills and knowledge that you can apply to the role, allowing you to contribute to our research from day one. As you develop your career, you will strengthen a broad range of skills, including data, market expertise, and client interactions, in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to complex and high-quality analysis and modelling, write market reports, and actively engage with customers. You will work closely with and learn from experienced regional analysts in various locations.

This is a full-time Research Associate role, based in Gurugram OR Mumbai, India.

Diversity is at the core of our business and we welcome applications from a range of academic or professional backgrounds. Wood Mackenzie has adopted a hybrid approach and we expect people to be present in our offices 2 days per week.
