The Role
Key Responsibilities:
Functional Responsibilities:
· Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional designs and technical solutions.
· Configure D365 F&O modules including Finance, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Procurement, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger (GL).
· Work closely with business users to provide functional expertise, troubleshooting, and guidance on best practices.
· Lead gap analysis sessions and document business processes, functional designs, and system enhancements.
· Assist in system testing, UAT, and training of end users.
Technical Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and deploy customizations and enhancements in D365 F&O using X++, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps.
· Develop and modify SSRS reports, queries, and data entities to meet business needs.
· Perform data migration, data mapping, and data validation using Data Management Framework (DMF).
· Work on integrations with third-party applications using OData, REST APIs, Logic Apps, Power Automate, and Azure Functions.
· Debug technical issues, analyse logs, and optimize performance of custom functionalities.
· Collaborate with Microsoft Support for issue resolution, updates, and hotfix implementation.
· Ensure security compliance by configuring role-based security, workflows, and approval processes.
Who You Are
Required Skills & Experience:
· 5+ years of experience working as a D365 F&O Techno functional Consultant.
· Strong knowledge of Finance, Supply Chain, and Procurement modules in D365 F&O.
· Hands-on experience in X++ development, extensions, event handlers, and workflows.
· Proficiency in SSRS reporting, SQL Server, and Power BI for analytics and dashboards.
· Experience with Azure DevOps for version control, build/release pipelines, and work tracking.
· Expertise in Data Migration Framework (DMF) and dual-write integration with Dataverse.
· Good understanding of D365 security roles and policies.
· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
· Excellent communication skills to interact with business users, developers, and Microsoft Support.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate or similar certification.
· Experience working with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
· Knowledge of D365 Commerce, HR, or Project Operations is a plus.
· Experience in LCS (Lifecycle Services) for environment management and monitoring.
