Director, Technical Integrations

What is Bilt?Bilt is the membership for where you live.
What started as a way to reward people on their largest expense has turned into an ecosystem connecting our members, property managers and local merchants.Travel, dining, fitness, everyday spend. We are building systems across payments, credit, loyalty, and commerce all at once.
We run lean and move quickly. Every person here has a real impact on what gets built and how fast it happens.
This role comes with real ownership and high expectations. If you prefer clearly defined lanes and structure, this will feel uncomfortable. If you want to build quickly, have a real say in what gets built, and work on products used by millions, you will likely do your best work here.
What’s your role?Bilt is looking for someone who can sit at the intersection of Engineering, Product, and the internal teams and partners who build on top of our AI concierge platform — and who wants to be the person everyone trusts to know how it actually works. The Concierge Services team, part of Bilt's broader Hospitality Services group, builds the concierge experiences that run across the company: the consumer concierge inside the Bilt app, the merchant concierge serving our dining, property, and mortgage partners, and the shared platform underneath them all — channels, escalations, knowledge, memory, and outreach.
As Director, Technical Integrations, you'll own the quality bar on everything that platform exposes. We treat our internal teams as fully qualified partners who deserve the same rigor as external customers: production issues triaged at startup pace, new product work validated end to end before anyone builds on it, and every integration documented well enough that a team can self-serve. Success in this role requires the ability to reason about technical systems, influence product direction, and translate what internal teams and partners actually need into scalable platform capabilities.
This is a cross-functional individual contributor role reporting to the GM of Concierge.
In this role, you will...Integration Depth & Documentation
  • Become the definitive expert on how the concierge platform works end to end — the APIs, the agent tooling each vertical wires up, and the configuration layer that gates which tools, prompts, and knowledge a given merchant, property, service, or audience sees.
  • Trace a single conversation across every surface it can land on — in-app chat, web and mobile SDKs, SMS and iMessage, email, and voice — and be able to explain where it breaks and why.
  • Own the documentation surface: configuration setup guides, FAQs, and flow diagrams that let internal teams and partners integrate without a Slack thread.
  • Present complex integration concepts concisely to peer teams, executive leadership, and occasionally external partners.
Quality & Release Confidence
  • Partner with Product and Engineering on ticket documentation, test plans, and end-to-end validation in test environments before work ships.
  • Run functional and visual QA so new product work is tested around the edges — not just the happy path — before an internal team builds on top of it.
  • Monitor data and agent behavior post-deployment, and close the loop when what shipped doesn't match what was specified.
Production Troubleshooting
  • Triage production issues in a rapid-pace environment: assess urgency and escalation, coordinate across internal teams, document the bug clearly, and drive it through to a real fix.
  • Uncover root causes across technical, operational, and business processes — not just the symptom the reporting team saw.
  • Write the ad hoc queries and reports needed to prove what's actually happening, and take solutions from scoping through implementation.
Internal Partner Enablement
  • Serve as the first knowledgeable point of contact for cross-team asks — the person who can answer "can Concierge do this on our surface?" the same day.
  • Build a durable intake process for those asks so the team can absorb them without derailing roadmap work, and so patterns get productized instead of re-solved.
  • Turn recurring one-off requests into scalable implementation patterns that let the next team onboard quickly.

In terms of qualifications, we’re seeking:
  • 5+ years of experience in technical integrations, solutions engineering, solutions architecture, or technical program/product roles.
  • Deep comfort with APIs, event-driven systems, and complex multi-service integrations — and the ability to explain them clearly to both engineers and executives.
  • Ability to map complex workflows and identify root causes across technical, operational, and business processes.
  • Base knowledge of SQL, and real proficiency using AI tools to validate information and resolve integration issues quickly.
  • Strong track record of troubleshooting production issues and driving cross-team solutions through completion.
  • Product sense sharp enough to QA effectively — you notice when something is technically correct but wrong for the user.
  • Comfortable moving between technical implementation discussions, product strategy conversations, and executive-level stakeholder meetings.
  • Treats internal teams as first-class customers, and thrives in a fast-moving startup environment.
Bonus points for:
  • Experience with AI, LLM, or conversational systems and the products built on them.
  • GCP familiarity and an understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Background in loyalty, rewards, hospitality, fintech, travel, or other partner-driven ecosystems.

We are considering candidates with differing levels of expertise for this position. Leveling will be based upon your experience and performance in the interview process.
Where a new hire falls within a range will be based on their individual skills and experience, and how these competencies compare across other employees in the same role. Bilt's bands are designed to allow for individual compensation growth within the role. As such, new hires typically start at the lower end of the range. Bilt rewards performance and outcomes - should you join the company, you can grow your salary over time.
