Join Citi's Operations team as an Operations Support Associate and play a hands-on role in keeping daily banking processes running accurately and on time. This is a fully operational position within Citi's core banking operations, where you will coordinate account activity, execute daily accounting closures, and work closely with teams across the business to maintain process integrity. You will make a direct contribution to the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations that matter to the bank every day.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily account transactions including activations, cancellations, credits, and charges to checking accounts, ensuring each entry is accurate and completed on time.
  • Execute daily accounting closures, applying accounting entries and reconciling movements to maintain a balanced and accurate record of operations.
  • Coordinate account openings and maintenance activities in alignment with the Operations core team, ensuring records are complete and properly documented.
  • Monitor operational processes and data quality, identifying issues and delivering the relevant documentation to the appropriate teams for resolution.
  • Manage and update operational reports including business scorecards and monthly operating reports, communicating outcomes clearly to relevant areas.
  • Maintain business continuity plans, resolution planning documents, and business review templates, keeping them current and fit for purpose.
  • Track compliance requirements and implement corrective actions identified through internal control reviews, ensuring processes remain aligned with corporate policies.
  • Administer collections-related systems and support the delivery of global and local projects within the collections process.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in an operational or administrative role within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, including account reconciliation and the application of accounting entries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with basic formulas and pivot tables to manage and analyze operational data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for reporting, documentation, and day-to-day task management.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams across different business areas.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and deliver accurate resolutions in a fast-paced, changeable environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree or university degree, or equivalent professional experience.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ADMWIN or similar internal banking operational systems is considered a plus and will be valued during the selection process.
  • Prior exposure to collections administration systems or experience supporting collections processes within a banking environment.
  • Experience maintaining dashboard indicators or process performance tools to track operational effectiveness.
