The opportunity:
Responsible for leading and managing the entire tender process, from initial opportunity identification to contract award, ensuring the submission of high-quality, competitive, and compliant proposals for Hitachi, Ltd. projects and services.
How you’ll make an impact:
You will lead and manage the end-to-end tender process, including bid/no-bid decisions, proposal strategy development, and submission, analyze Request for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs), and other tender documents to understand client requirements and identify key success factors.
You will collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, engineering, legal, finance, project management) to gather necessary information and develop comprehensive technical and commercial solutions.
You will develop compelling tender narratives, executive summaries, and value propositions that differentiate Hitachi's offerings, manage the creation of accurate and competitive cost estimates and pricing strategies.
You will ensure all tender submissions are compliant with client specifications, internal policies, and legal requirements, coordinate and facilitate internal tender review meetings and secure necessary approvals.
You will act as the primary point of contact for clients during the tender phase, managing clarifications and negotiations, monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices to inform tender strategies.
You will maintain accurate records of all tender activities and outcomes for reporting and continuous improvement.
You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in tender management, bid management, or proposal management, preferably within a large multinational corporation or relevant industry (e.g., IT, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing).Proven track record of successfully winning complex, high-value tenders, strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and risk management principles.
Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and commercial concepts clearly and concisely.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM or bid management software, ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams. Willingness to travel as required.
Proficiency English communication.
