Amex Digital Labs is seeking a Manager, Stablecoin and Blockchain Product Partnerships, to support the partner execution and contracting strategy for how American Express participates in the next generation of programmable money, stablecoin-enabled payments, and blockchain-based financial infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will support partner relationship management, diligence, contracting, implementation readiness, and cross-functional launch coordination.

•    Act as day-to-day support for stablecoin initiatives; drive project readiness while working alongside Product, Go-to-Market, and risk teams across the enterprise
•    Nurture and scale partnerships, acting as one of the primary contacts internally and externally; help drive RFI/RFP processes and vendor management processes
•    Manage partner contracting and negotiation in partnership with Amex’s legal team; build deal constructs, support contract development, and run deal negotiations
•    Perform ongoing reporting on key metrics, develop insights and provide strategic recommendations to advise how to grow & improve partnerships & products
•    Develop and maintain project execution materials, including but not limited to: workstream trackers, partner updates, RFP materials, readiness dashboards, risk/ issue logs, tracking implementation dependencies, and leadership update materials 
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, Go-to-Market, legal, compliance, risk, and other key verticals to design and launch effective go-to-market plans
•    Support our Go-to-Market team in coordinating across legal, compliance, financial crimes, infosec, tax, accounting, and other control partners in developing controls and risk frameworks
•    Contribute market and partner insights across stablecoins, digital assets, and emerging payment infrastructure
•    Contribute to the partner sourcing funnel and new product development while participating in Amex Digital Lab’s culture of innovation

•    Minimum of 3+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, product strategy, consulting, or deal creation (or relevant contracting and legal exposure)
•    Strong interest or experience in digital payments, stablecoin infrastructure, or emerging commerce.  

•    Curiosity and desire to work on exploring new payment technologies, digital innovations, digital assets & evolving customer experiences
•    Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-functional workstreams and identify risks & dependencies
•    Excellent program management skills to lead end-to-end partnership delivery across key verticals with many collaborators
•    Experience in supporting partner diligence, RFP processes, vendor onboarding, contracting, and general partner management
•    Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical, commercial, regulatory, and operational topics to relevant stakeholders and create concise materials for executive audiences
•    Proven ability to operate independently and learn quickly; a curious learner with a growth mindset and open to challenging assumptions
•   Bachelor’s degree required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Familiarity with traditional payments, merchant acquiring, PSPs, PayFacs, fintech, digital assets, or emerging payment infrastructure preferred 

•    Experience in consulting, strategy or similar role shaping and creating corporate strategy and executive level materials is a plus

•    Experience at payment, fintech, crypto or early-stage companies a plus
