Job Description
As a Security Officer Distribution Center Access Control in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening individuals and/or materials, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting security-related concerns. You will remain professional and visible to help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. - Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen individuals, packages, and authorized property entering or leaving designated areas in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorization as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting concerns through established channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including the business and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
