Registered Pharmacy Tech Facility St. Joseph Medical Center Location US-MO-Kansas City ID 2026-270173 Category Clinical Tech Position Type Part Time > 59 Shift Days Job Type Non-Exempt Overview Department: Pharmacy Employment Type: Part Time Shift’s Available:  Days Hours: 7-hour shifts - 10:00am - 5:00pmLocation: St, Joseph Medical Center – Kansas City, MO We are seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician, sometimes referred to as a Pharmacy Tech or Outpatient Pharmacy Assistant. The Pharmacy Tech in our outpatient retail pharmacy supports pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, assisting patients, processing insurance claims, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate prescription records. They ensure efficient pharmacy operations and provide excellent patient care.   Responsibilities Prepare and dispense medications accurately based on prescriptions Assist patients with prescription pick-ups, answering questions, and explaining medication instructions Processing insurance claims, handle billing, insurance verification, and resolving payment issues Manage stock, order supplies, and ensure medications are stored properly Input prescription information into the pharmacy system  Qualifications Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required or obtained within 6 months of hire dateState Pharmacy Technician License/Registration required (if required by state regulations)High school diploma or equivalentGraduate of ASHP-accredited or equivalent pharmacy technician training program preferred340B program experience preferred (if at a 340B facility)Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: https://www.primehealthcare.com/careers/benefits/ #LI-CB1 Employment Status Part Time > 59 Shift Days Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
