Team Leader Engineering
1. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers across disciplines (e.g., DCS, MES, software)
- Set clear objectives, manage performance, and drive employee engagement
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline aligned with business growth and technology evolution
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
2. Project Delivery & Customer Engagement
- Lead and/or contribute to the successful execution of customer projects.
- Apply project management and delivery best practices to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality expectations.
- Depending on experience and background, contribute through project management, project engineering, technical leadership, solution development, testing, commissioning, or project coordination activities.
- Support customer engagements including technical discussions, project reviews, workshops, and site visits.
Support proposal development, project planning, estimating, and risk assessment activities.
3. Operational Excellence & Governance
- Drive standardization of engineering processes, tools, and best practices
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct project reviews, root cause analysis, and implement lessons learned
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ and applicable industry standards
4. Collaboration & Resource Management
- Work closely with global engineering hubs to optimize delivery models
- Support resource planning, utilization, and capacity management across projects
- Enable effective coordination between local teams and global delivery centers
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Project Management to align priorities and execution plans
5. Customer & Commercial Focus
- Drive a strong “Think Customer” culture, ensuring solutions meet customer expectations and deliver value
- Promote commercial awareness within the team, including cost control, margin improvement, and change management
- Support bid/no-bid decisions and risk assessments during pursuit phase
- Strengthen domain expertise (e.g., Life Sciences, process industries) to enhance customer value proposition
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, Chemical, or related field)
- At least 5+ years of experience in engineering/project delivery within industrial automation or process industries
- Prior experience in a team lead or supervisory role preferred
- Experience working with global engineering hubs or shared service models is an advantage
- Exposure to regulated industries (e.g., Life Sciences, Oil & Gas, Chemicals) is beneficial
- Familiarity with Emerson / similar platforms (e.g., DeltaV, AspenTech, MES solutions) is a plus
