What you’ll do:
The Project Quality Engineer leads Quality activities starting from early project engagement until Factory Witness Test (FWT) or Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). Project Quality Engineer is responsible for meeting internal and external quality standards, industry regulations and Customer specifications.
Strategy & Change Leadership
- Work closely with Program and Project Management, Field Service Engineers, Product Engineering, Supplier Chain Management, Operations and other cross‑functional partners.
- Clearly distinguish facts, evidence, assumptions, and conclusions
- Communicate technical issues effectively to engineering, commercial, and customer stakeholders
- Promote disciplined, evidence‑based quality decision making aligned to customer expectations
Regulatory Compliance and Adherence to Standards
- Ensure adherence to applicable Customer, industry standards and Eaton requirements.
Lessons Learned
- Lead systematic, cross-functional Lessons Learned process and cooperate with project team implementation of identified action
Quality Plan
- Lead Quality Plan development including integration of inputs from Customer, Suppliers and internal Eaton team members.
Supplier Quality Management
- Partner with Supplier Quality to ensure consistent alignment with Customer and Eaton standards.
- Review deliverables and compliance evidence from external suppliers.
- Support /Review audits, assessments, PPAP etc.
Manufacturing Quality
- Partner with Plant Manufacturing Quality to ensure consistent alignment with Customer and Eaton standards
- Support /Review audits, assessments, PPAP etc.
Customer Quality
- Cooperate with Customer Quality for successful Factory Witness Test/Factory Acceptance Test
Organizational Development: Training, Coaching & Capability Building
- Continuuesly pursue self-development oppoortunities.
- Stay up to speed with internal and external process and procesures updates and enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Solid experience (5+ years) in quality, product engineering or manufacturing engineering for electromechanical or safety‑critical electronic systems.
Skills:
- Technical knowledge about LV Switchgear, MV Switchgear, Transformers and UPS systems
- Experience in Project Management
- Direct experience supporting customer quality issues
- Exposure to factory and site quality environments
- Experience with FWT/FAT
Bonus qualifications:
- Practical awareness of electrical, thermal, and mechanical failure mechanisms
- Customer-focused, with confidence operating in high‑pressure escalations
- Bias for fact, evidence, and long-term robustness over short-term fixes
- Comfortable challenging engineering or manufacturing decisions when quality risk is present
- Calm, structured, and disciplined approach to problem solving
- Strong ownership and accountability mindset
