As a Manager, Pharmacy Technician you will:
Operational Excellence
- Collaborates with the Pharmacy Director, Pharmacy Operations Manager, and Pharmacist in Charge to implement workflow and productivity measures that support performance targets and customer expectations.
- Partners with pharmacy leadership and staff to execute Company Initiatives, Core Processes, and Quality Initiatives aimed at improving overall service quality.
- Ensures daily operational quality and cost‑containment strategies—such as pre‑pack, front‑end processes, and cycle‑fill—are consistently applied across dispensing and procurement activities.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Works with pharmacy leadership to maintain full compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws, pharmacy regulations, and PharMerica’s Corporate Compliance Program.
- Conducts all responsibilities in alignment with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, corporate policies, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable professional standards.
Staff Leadership & Management
- Directs pharmacy staff in scheduling, purchasing, clinical matters, and other assigned tasks.
- Assists in managing personnel issues in collaboration with pharmacy leadership.
- Ensures all essential job functions are performed satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations as needed.
Customer & Client Relations
- Collaborates with Client Services and Sales teams to communicate effectively with customers—including DONs, Administrators, and Staff RNs—and resolve service issues promptly.
Inventory & Purchasing Oversight
- Works with the pharmacy management team to monitor purchasing and inventory supply, ensuring goals are met in areas such as inventory turns, preferred products, generics, therapeutic interchange, and controlled substance monitoring.
Additional Duties
- Performs other tasks as assigned to support pharmacy operations.
- Maintains the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform all essential duties effectively.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
- 5 years’ experience in long-term care
- 5 years supervisory experience
- Extensive knowledge of Framework
- Knowledge of pharmacy regulations
- Strong computer skills required
- Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral & written communication
