Financial Counselor – St. Peter's Hospital – Full Time Days

What you will do:
Verifies insurance eligibility, pre-cert requirements and co-pay amounts for all inpatients and surgical patients accessing our services
Initiates referrals for patients with no insurance or financial need
Serves as departmental insurance resource/educator for all staff
Registers patients accessing the Acute Care sites
Education Requirements:
H.S. Diploma or GED required
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of billing/credit experience (Healthcare setting preferred)
Customer service experience
*All new employees are required to undergo and pass all applicable state and federally mandated pre-employment screening requirements.
Pay range: $19.20 - $24.60
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
