We are building the infrastructure that will power the next generation of cross-border payment systems for institutions. The team's execution has been exceptional, and we're scaling at a remarkable pace. Our stellar early team comes with experience in companies like J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, FalconX, PayPal, Affirm, Polygon, Kraken, Nium and others. We're backed by Accel, Lightspeed, NfX and other top-tier investors. Role Overview We're hiring a Head of Business Operations to build and lead the Business Operations team at OpenFX. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead a hands-on team that helps OpenFX turn its most important operating priorities into results. Business Operations serves as OpenFX's execution and coordination layer for business-critical growth initiatives that require multiple functions to work together. The team turns leadership priorities into clear plans, brings the right people together, resolves blockers and drives work through to measurable results. The team is deliberately hands-on. It does not plan in a silo or stop at presentations. Think of Business Operations as OpenFX's special operations team: a group that can step into an ambiguous, high-priority problem, create clarity, fill execution gaps and stay with the work until it is delivered. Examples include supporting launches of new currencies and regions, coordinating the onboarding of banking and liquidity partners, improving critical processes across teams and leading other strategic projects for the business. You will work closely with leaders across Finance, Trade Operations, Compliance Operations, People and Talent, GTM, Product, Engineering, Partnerships and Legal. Business Operations drives execution and coordination for shared projects, while each functional leader continues to own their team, strategy, specialist decisions, controls and results. The role may later expand to include Trade Operations, Partnerships or another function, but that is not part of the role today. Key Responsibilities Lead and scale the Business Operations function Manage, coach and develop the Business Operations team, with clear responsibilities, scorecards and development plans for each team member. Set a clear process for how the team takes on requests, chooses priorities and allocates its time. Build the organization, role clarity and capacity plan required for the Business Operations function as OpenFX scales. Keep the team focused on high-impact projects rather than routine work that belongs within another function. Lead high-priority projects across teams Agree with the Head of Operations on the two or three most important projects for the team to lead. Turn broad objectives into clear outcomes, plans, milestones, owners and decisions. Lead projects such as launching new currencies and regions, coordinating complex bank and liquidity partner onboarding, improving critical processes and preparing the business for new capabilities. Build the plan, coordinate the teams involved, track progress, raise blockers and make sure actions are completed. The functional leader continues to own the strategy, requirements and specialist decisions. Raise risks, tradeoffs and unresolved questions early, and get them to the right decision maker. Improve how Operations works and tracks performance Run the weekly Operations review and monthly KPI review, with clear metrics, owners, decisions and follow-up actions. Partner with Data and functional leaders to establish agreed metric definitions, accountable owners and reliable reporting. Identify important processes that slow down or fail when several teams are involved, and lead the work to improve them. Build lightweight processes and automation that improve speed, reliability and...
