Services cover a wide range of tests, including asbestos (PLM/TEM), mold, bacteria, VOCs, allergens, Legionella, radon, lead, silica, and more.Job DescriptionThe technician would prepare samples for Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) utilizing direct and indirect prep methods.  The technician would, in addition, prepare and analyze samples for Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM).  Technician would be responsible for sample preparations as described within laboratory Standard Operating Procedures, accurately entering data in the LIMS, reporting to clients, and general laboratory maintenance and cleaning.ResponsibilitiesPrepare Air, Dust, Wipe and Water samples for analysis by TEMPrepare and analyze Air samples by PCMAccurately enter laboratory observations and data into the LIMSBe able to work independently while coordinating work with co-workersPerforms and completes necessary and assigned laboratory QC tasksArchiving and disposal of samplesPerform laboratory cleaning tasks of glassware, equipment, and surfacesFollow all company policies and proceduresCalibrate and prepare TEM grids for use in preparation proceduresUnderstand and follow laboratory Standard Operating ProceduresBe available for on call rotationOther duties as assignedQualificationsCandidates must have some college or laboratory experienceProfessional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in EnglishAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipAdditional InformationCompensation range: $20 - $22 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.Position is  Full-time, Tuesday thru Saturday, 10:30am - 7:00pm plus overtime and weekends as needed.Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base compensation of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.As a Eurofins employee, you will become part of a company that has received national recognition as a great place to work.  We offer excellent full-time benefits including comprehensive medical coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, paid time off, and dental and vision options.We support your development!
