Matter Administration is focused on helping our customers grow the eDiscovery practices and businesses they run on top of Relativity. The team delivers solutions that boost administrator productivity, simplify configuration, and improve system preparation for matter review.
From matter setup and workspace configuration to data archiving, restore, cost management, and billing solutions, Matter Administration provides tools and services that enable Relativity Administrators to operate efficiently and at scale.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Manager, Software Engineering is a delivery-focused leader responsible for driving execution, project management, and cross-functional alignment in partnership with a Product Manager and Product Designer (Triad).
This role builds and leads a highly effective, autonomous team of software engineers to meet customer needs and product objectives. While people development is a key aspect of the position, the primary focus is ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality work on time.

Job Description and Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own project and roadmap execution end-to-end, including managing internal and external dependencies

  • Drive delivery cadence and ensure the team maintains predictable, sustainable throughput

  • Scope and deliver features and products, providing updates on progress and risks

  • Communicate timelines, trade-offs, and status to domain and Engineering leadership

  • Analyze complex situations and provide direction where evaluation of intangibles is required

  • Partner closely within the Triad to align on priorities, scope, and sequencing

  • Contribute to and leverage the product roadmap to guide team direction and backlog

  • Provide visibility through regular reporting, highlighting wins, goals, and roadblocks

  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Security, Service Delivery, and commercial teams

  • Clarify ownership and decision-making across teams

  • Empower the team to resolve customer issues and oversee resolution through completion

  • Remove team and domain-level impediments and escalate cross-domain issues as needed

  • Lead retrospectives and root cause analyses to prevent future incidents and drive improvements

  • Encourage innovation and continuous improvement across the team

  • Influence engineering strategy and contribute to broader technical direction

  • Identify and implement process improvements

  • Collaborate with adjacent teams to solve problems and escalate broader challenges

  • Ensure awareness of evolving policies, technologies, trends, and competitive factors

  • Guide the team in designing and implementing high-quality solutions using best practices

  • Promote a strong learning culture and encourage engagement with development resources

  • Support career growth and help team members progress to their next level

  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and development planning

  • Ensure effective team staffing, address performance gaps, and maintain team health

  • Champion diverse hiring to foster innovation and inclusivity

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required

  • 4+ years of experience managing software product development teams

  • Strong background in software development for commercial-grade systems and applications

  • Experience managing remote teams or distributed staff

  • Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices, distributed systems, and cloud environments (SaaS)

  • Experience with cloud-native technologies and architectures (containers, Kubernetes, serverless, microservices, CI/CD pipelines)

  • Experience leveraging AI/ML technologies to enhance products, workflows, or developer productivity

  • Strong collaboration skills across teams and functions

  • Ability to manage team pace, balancing urgency with sustainable delivery

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams and drive results

  • Experience working within agile product development methodologies

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

288 000 and 432 000PLN

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
