Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a General Hand to join our team. This is a hands-on role working alongside experienced crews to deliver a variety of civil and construction projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

As a General Hand, you'll support day-to-day site operations, assist with the operation of plant and equipment, undertake manual labouring tasks, and contribute to the successful delivery of project outcomes. You'll work in a team-focused environment where safety, quality, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is looking to build a long-term career within the civil construction industry.

We're looking for a reliable and motivated team player who enjoys hands-on outdoor work and takes pride in doing the job safely.

Ideally, you'll have:

•    Previous experience in civil construction, infrastructure, or a similar industry is preferred but not essential 
•    Strong commitment to health, safety, and Zero Harm principles
•    Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support others when required
•    Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn new skills
•    Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks within required timeframes
•    Good communication skills and a professional approach when interacting with the public, clients, and colleagues
