Shift: Second Shift [4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.] Sunday – Thursday

What will you do?
A day in the life of an Operations Lead for Order Processing you will support the daily execution of order management and fulfillment activities within the distribution center. This position is responsible for coordinating order processing workflows, monitoring system activity, resolving exceptions, and supporting associates to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
The Lead serves as a key operational resource by providing work direction, training, and support while partnering with Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, and Operations leadership to meet service level commitments and productivity goals. This role is a working lead position and does not carry formal supervisory responsibilities.
Order Management & Workflow Coordination
- Coordinate daily order processing activities to support customer fulfillment requirements.
- Monitor order queues, wave releases, system-generated tasks, and order priorities.
- Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and within required service level expectations.
- Review and address order exceptions, holds, and processing errors.
- Assist with workload balancing and resource allocation based on operational demands.
- Communicate order priorities and operational updates to the team.
Operational Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for order flow issues during the assigned shift.
- Troubleshoot system and transaction issues impacting order processing.
- Identify bottlenecks that may affect fulfillment performance and escalate concerns when needed.
- Collaborate with Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, and other departments to resolve operational issues.
- Support daily startup and shift transition communications.
Training and Development
- Assist with training new associates in order processing procedures and systems.
- Reinforce standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Support cross-training initiatives that enhance team flexibility and capability.
Quality and Accuracy
- Monitor order accuracy and transaction integrity.
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with established processes.
- Assist in researching inventory discrepancies and order-related issues.
- Support corrective action efforts by identifying root causes and recommending solutions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Safety and Compliance
- Promote and reinforce all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and quality standards.
- Report safety concerns, process gaps, and equipment issues promptly.
Communication and Collaboration
- Partner with leadership to achieve department objectives and customer service expectations.
- Communicate operational challenges, staffing concerns, and system issues effectively.
- Foster positive working relationships across departments.
- Support a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
What do you need to succeed?

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
- Previous Lead, Trainer, or Team Lead experience.
- Experience supporting order management, wave planning or fulfillment operations.
- Experience utilizing reporting tools and operational performance metrics.
- Knowledge of inventory management and distribution center processes.

Hiring Range:
$16.56 USD - $20.70 USD per hourIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
