Do you believe events should directly impact revenue?

Do you believe building world-class, large-scale events is where strategy meets flawless execution? Then Jobber might be the place for you.

We’re looking for an Event Manager to join our Marketing team and own the planning and execution of large-scale, high-visibility, Jobber-led events that connect our brand with customers, partners, and our community.

This role is focused on event planning and execution, from strategy through on-site delivery.

Jobber exists to help people in small businesses be successful. We work with small home service businesses, like your local plumbers, painters, and landscapers, to transform the way service is delivered through technology. With Jobber they can quote, schedule, invoice, and collect payments from their customers while providing an easy and professional customer experience. Running a small business today isn’t like it used to be—the way we consume and deliver service is changing rapidly, technology is evolving, and customers expect more. That’s why we put the power and flexibility in their hands to run their businesses how, where, and when they want!

Our culture of transparency, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation has been recognized by Great Place to Work, Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures, and more. Jobber has also been named on the Globe and Mail’s Canada’s Top Growing Companies list, and Deloitte Canada’s Technology Fast 50™, Enterprise Fast 15, and Technology Fast 500™ lists. With an Executive team that has over thirty years of industry experience of leading the way, we’ve come a long way from our first customer in 2011—but we’ve just scratched the surface of what we want to accomplish for our customers.

The Team

Marketing at Jobber is responsible for telling our story, growing awareness, and driving demand. Within Marketing, Events plays a critical role in bringing the Jobber brand to life through Jobber-led, high-impact experiences—both virtual and in-person—that drive connection, education, and measurable business outcomes.

You’ll work closely with Brand and Creative, Product and Product Marketing, and Revenue teams, as well as external vendors and partners, to deliver events that support company priorities.

The Role

As Event Manager, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing Jobber-led, high-visibility events end to end. This portfolio primarily includes flagship, virtual, and hybrid events with large audiences and meaningful six to seven-figure budgets.

You’ll own event strategy and execution, leading cross-functional collaboration and communication across Marketing, Product, Sales, and external partners to ensure events are well-planned, well-produced, and demonstrably impactful.

This role is ideal for someone who is equal parts strategic planner and operator—someone who can take an event from concept to flawless on-site execution. It would be an asset if someone has done a user conference for hundreds/thousands of attendees in person, and/or a virtual conference with thousands of attendees. Experience with event promotion and marketing campaigns is a nice-to-have.

Key events for this role include Jobber Summit, our annual virtual conference for the blue collar community, and Jobber Now, our annual product launch and user conference.

The Event Manager will:

  • Serve as the driver for flagship events, developing and owning detailed workback plans, timelines, budgets, and executional oversight across tech, experience, and logistics.

  • Translate business goals into event outcomes (e.g., net new lead acquisition and net revenue expansion) and ensure events meaningfully contribute to broader company objectives.

  • Oversee large-scale event logistics and production, including vendor management, venues, AV/tech platforms, customer support readiness, and on-site experience delivery.

  • Measure, report, and optimize event performance across attendance, engagement, and post-event outcomes; partner with Analytics and Marketing to assess impact against goals and use insights to improve programming and experience design.

  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders and senior leadership on progress, risks, and results, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the planning and execution lifecycle.

  • Support event promotion efforts as needed, with the opportunity to grow into ownership of registration and attendance campaigns over time.

  • Travel when required within Canada and the United States, for flagship events, site visits, trade shows, conferences, and keynote filming as needed.

To Be Successful, You’ll Have

  • Stamina, adaptability, and time-management skills to perform effectively while traveling frequently, including multi-day events and tight schedules.

  • Experience planning and executing high-visibility company-led events with significant budgets, (e.g. six to seven-figure programs) and attendance (e.g. thousands of attendees).

  • Experience collaborating closely with Product and Product Marketing teams.

  • A data-informed mindset, with experience measuring performance and iterating based on results.

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.

  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

It Would Be Great (But Not Required) If You Had

  • Experience or interest in event promotion and marketing campaigns (email, paid media, social, in-product, partnerships)—we’ll train the right person up in this area.

  • Experience working in SaaS or at a high-growth tech company.

  • Familiarity with event technology platforms, CRM integrations, and marketing automation tools.

  • Experience leading a user conference at a SaaS or high-growth tech company.

  • CMP certification or equivalent.
