Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time
Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00 am- 4:30 pm

A Brief Overview:
The Supervisor, Patient Access is responsible for managing and supervising the daily operations of the Patient Access department in the hospital. They will lead a team of Patient Access Representatives, ensuring that patients' registration, insurance verification, and pre-authorization processes are carried out accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with healthcare regulations.
What you will do:
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of Patient Access Representatives, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Oversee the patient registration, insurance verification, and pre-authorization processes, ensuring that they are conducted efficiently and accurately.
- Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and discrepancies in patient information and financial data.
- Foster a culture of patient-centered care within the department, ensuring patients have a positive experience during the registration and admission process.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to keep them updated on industry trends and regulations.
- Ensure that the department complies with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, and state-specific guidelines.
- Monitor key performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly.
- Collaborate with other hospital departments, such as finance, admissions, and medical records, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient access and revenue cycle management.
- Prepare and submit reports on departmental performance, including key performance indicators, to the Senior Manager.
What you will need:
- Bachelors Degree Health Administration Preferred Or
- Bachelors Degree Business Administration/Management Preferred
- 3 Years of experience in patient access, registration, or related roles, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience. And
- Experience in healthcare information systems and electronic health records (EHR) software.
