Business Development Manager – Vascular, South East Europe and South Africa (SEE & SA)

The Business Development Manager – Vascular is responsible for driving the long-term growth of the Vascular business across the region of South East Europe and South Africa. Based in Romania, this role will lead strategic business development initiatives, identify new market opportunities, and accelerate adoption of the Boston Scientific Vascular portfolio by partnering closely with commercial teams, healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and regional stakeholders.

The role will focus on expanding patient access to minimally invasive therapies, strengthening clinical engagement, supporting market development initiatives, and building sustainable growth strategies across the region. Working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Medical Education and Regional Leadership teams, the Business Development Manager will play a key role in developing the Vascular franchise and supporting country teams in achieving sustainable business growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Vascular franchise, providing commercial and clinical guidance to internal stakeholders across the region.
  • Drive the long-term business development strategy for the Vascular franchise across the SEE & SA region, delivering sustainable growth and increased market penetration.
  • Identify, prioritize, and develop new business opportunities, market segments, and strategic accounts to expand adoption of the Vascular portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, hospital management, scientific societies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Partner with country sales teams to develop and execute market development plans that increase procedure volumes and patient access to Vascular therapies.
  • Support the launch and commercialization of new products and technologies within the Vascular portfolio across the region.
  • Develop and implement physician education programs, workshops, proctorships, and clinical training initiatives to support therapy adoption and best clinical practice.
  • Continuously assess market dynamics, competitive landscape, reimbursement environment, and healthcare trends to identify opportunities and adapt business strategies accordingly.
  • Share best practices across countries and support capability building of local commercial teams through coaching, training, and joint customer engagements.
  • Represent Boston Scientific at regional and international congresses, educational events, and scientific meetings.
  • Ensure full compliance with Boston Scientific Quality, Ethics, and Compliance policies in all customer interactions and business activities.

What are we looking for in you:

  • A degree qualification in a relevant field, preferably within Biomedical Sciences.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Medical Devices or Medical Technology, preferably within Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, Vascular, Peripheral Interventions therapies.
  • Strong commercial mindset with skills across new and existing business development, sales processes, negotiations, influencing key stakeholders, and managing collaborations.
  • Strong understanding of the Vascular market, including customer pathways, clinical practice, and healthcare systems.
  • Effective communication skills and experience collaborating with clinical teams and sales teams.
  • Initiative-taking, attention to detail, and problem solver.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple countries and cultures in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Self-motivated, Strong collaborator, collaborative, ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally.
  • Fluent in English and Romanian; additional regional languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the SEE & SA region.
