Unit: Perinatology

Employment Type: Full Time

Shift: 7am-4:30pm
Location: St. Mary Medical Center

Position Purpose

Operates ultrasound equipment and film processor to produce diagnostic images for presentation to the Perinatologist. Also assists Perinatologist in doing genetic procedures.

As an Perinatology Ultrasound Tech, you will

  • Appropriately educated and explains procedures to patients. Modifies approach based on age, developmental level and needs of patient.

  • Follows appropriate Center protocol for procedures unless specified differently by the Perinatologist.

  • Produces quality diagnostic images for interpretation. Selects and prepares proper equipment and supplies.

  • Operates medical imaging equipment properly and safely.

  • Prepares patient for procedures providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxiety.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical school/associate's degree required.

  • 2-4 years of experience required.

  • RDMS Certificate required.

  • Obstetrical (NTQR) Certification required.

  • BLS certification required.
