Job Description

The People Analytics Workday Senior Consultant is responsible for delivering accurate, actionable, and governed people data solutions across Allstate. This role combines expertise in Workday reporting, SQL-based data analysis, and stakeholder consulting to support HR, Legal, Compliance, Employee Relations, and business partners in making informed decisions through trusted people data.

The successful candidate will look beyond the initial request to understand the underlying business challenge, identify root causes, and recommend scalable solutions that deliver meaningful business value. Working across Workday and enterprise data platforms, they will transform complex requirements into reporting, analytics, and data solutions while considering upstream and downstream impacts across people, process, and technology ecosystems. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, systems thinking, and stakeholder management skills to ensure people data is leveraged effectively, responsibly, and in compliance with privacy and governance standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Consult with stakeholders to understand business needs and recommend the most effective reporting or analytics solution.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Workday reporting solutions and people analytics products.

  • Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze HR data from Dremio and other enterprise sources.

  • Join and reconcile data across multiple systems to support reporting, investigations, and business decision-making

  • Troubleshoot reporting issues and resolve data discrepancies.

  • Partner with HR, Legal, Employee Relations, Compliance, and other stakeholders on sensitive reporting and data requests.

  • Document reporting methodologies, SQL logic, and data definitions to ensure transparency and repeatability.

  • Collaborate with dashboarding, infrastructure, product, and data engineering teams to deliver connected people data solutions.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Challenge assumptions and help stakeholders identify the root business problem.

  • Apply systems thinking when evaluating reporting requests and recommending solutions.

  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency of reporting outputs.

  • Maintain compliance with privacy, governance, security, and audit requirements.

  • Apply sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.

  • Identify opportunities for automation, AI-enabled efficiencies, and self-service reporting.

  • Promote scalable and sustainable solutions over manual or one-time fixes.

  • Support continuous improvement of reporting processes, standards, and governance practices.

 

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience (3+ years) developing and supporting Workday Reporting solutions.

  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with enterprise data platforms such as Fabric, Dremio, and Scality.

  • Experience working with HR or People data.

  • Strong systems thinking, business problem-solving, and root cause analysis capabilities.

  • Proven experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable reporting solutions.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting Legal, Compliance, Audit, or Employee Relations reporting requests.

  • Knowledge of Workday security concepts and HR data governance principles.

  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.

  • Understanding of HR processes and workforce data.

  • Experience working in a consulting, analytics, or HR technology environment.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 70,100.00 - 121,475.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
