Position Summary: Providence Private Academy is seeking a dedicated and dynamic educator to teach students in grades K-12th. The ideal candidate will lead instruction in one or more subjects—such as English, mathematics, or social studies—and foster an engaging, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. In addition to academic instruction, the teacher will help students develop essential life skills, promote positive behavior, and encourage self-awareness and personal development. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to helping children thrive both academically and personally.
Key Roles / Responsibilities:
- Establish boundaries for behavior.
- Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations in one or more subjects.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet children’s varying needs and interests.
- Maintain accurate and complete records on children.
- Assign and grade class work and homework.
- Prepare materials for activities.
- Observe and evaluate children’s performance, behavior, social development and physical health.
- Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration and work time that provides children with opportunities to observe, question and investigate.
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, projects and communicate those objectives.
- Prepare instructional program objectives, outlines and lesson plans.
- Monitor children’s performance to ensure that they satisfy course standards and objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Sensitive to confidential information.
- Must work independently and as a member of team.
Working Conditions:
