The Role
The Role:
You are the offshore specialist leader for tenant‑to‑tenant Power Platform migration (Power Apps, Power Automate, environments, governance and remediation). You provide the technical patterns and escalation support that enables Scale squads to plan waves confidently and enables the Factory to execute remediation at pace. Tenant‑to‑tenant Power Platform moves require disciplined preparation and post‑migration reconfiguration; your role is to reduce disruption by creating repeatable runbooks and accelerating complex issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own Power Platform tenant‑to‑tenant migration patterns for your aligned region; act as escalation authority.
- Define and maintain runbooks for app/flow migration preparation, execution, validation and remediation.
- Guide environment strategy, governance (including DLP considerations) and dependency mapping for wave planning.
- Troubleshoot complex defects (connection references, permissions, ownership transitions, connector behaviour, environment settings).
- Coordinate with Entra Apps and Identity specialists for auth/service principal dependencies and consent-related blockers.
- Provide wave risk assessments for business‑critical apps/flows; define mitigation and rollback patterns.
- Ensure evidence capture and sign‑off artefacts are correctly produced for migrated assets.
- Maintain “known fixes” catalogue and drive root cause elimination to reduce repeat defects.
- Support cutovers and hypercare for Power Platform‑critical business functions.
- Provide reporting inputs on defect categories, remediation throughput and quality trends.
Who You Are
Must‑Have:
- Delivered tenant‑to‑tenant Power Platform migration work in production (specialism mandatory).
- Strong hands‑on Power Platform capability (Power Apps/Power Automate), including admin and remediation practices.
- Proven ability to build runbooks and validation routines suitable for repeatable, large‑scale execution.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across connectors, permissions, ownership and environment governance issues.
- Willingness to align working hours to regional cutovers (early/late calls) and support extended hours when required.
- Strong documentation discipline and ability to coach engineers through repeatable patterns.
- Comfortable operating within strict governance and evidence requirements.
Good‑to‑Have:
- Experience with ALM patterns (solutions, pipelines, source control) and governance frameworks.
- Dataverse familiarity and security role implications during tenant transitions.
- Microsoft certification alignment relevant to Power Platform (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working in regulated environments with strict audit evidence requirements.
Interpersonal & Consulting Skills:
- Clear risk communicator; protects business‑critical automations through disciplined readiness.
- Calm escalation approach and structured troubleshooting.
- Strong cross‑team collaboration (Entra Apps/Identity, business app owners, adoption teams).
- Coaching mindset; enables factories and squads through patterns and templates.
- Outcome‑focused; balances speed with governance and quality.
- Strong written communication: tickets, handovers, playbooks.
Typical Deliverables / KPIs:
- Defect rate reduction and improved first‑time success for migrated assets.
- MTTR for Power Platform migration blockers.
- Repeat issue elimination through runbook and pattern updates.
- Evidence capture completeness for migrated apps/flows.
- Business acceptance rate and reduced disruption incidents during cutovers.
Shift / Working Pattern Notes:
- Scale teams operate as a cohesive unit within a follow‑the‑sun project delivery model. Each scale team works an 8‑hour shift, scheduled across a 24‑hour global working day. Structured handovers between scale teams are mandatory and cutover periods may require rota flexibility.
