Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Staffing Coordinator I, you will be responsible for optimizing staffing levels across departments, ensuring adequate coverage and operational efficiency.Every day, you will schedule personnel, process staffing requests, manage call-outs, and communicate effectively with staff and management regarding assignments and availability.To be successful, you will demonstrate strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail in scheduling, and excellent communication, crucial for maintaining optimal workforce deployment and service continuity.
Performs staffing functions for the nursing departments.
- Receives 7-3 staffing report from night Patient Care Supervisors.
- Reviews and plans staffing coverage needs on a daily and weekly basis.
- Prints daily staffing sheets.
- Consults with Nursing Directors and /or Patient Care Supervisor regarding any unsolved staffing decisions as appropriate.
- Assures that staffing sheets are updated from previous shifts on a daily basis.
- Timely communicates staffing concerns to Nursing Directors, ie. late, sick calls, family emergencies.
Job Requirements
Required
- Strong secretarial and /or administrativebackground
Preferred
- One (1) to two (2) years of previous acute care experience
- Previous hospital experience and/or medical terminology
