About favorited

At favorited, we believe that digital communities should be more than just spaces to watch content. Our platform is a place to connect, engage, and play, and empowers creators by enhancing audience participation and fostering deeper connections.

Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But, if you’re a self-starter eager to shape the future of social interaction with a team that holds itself to the highest standards, this is the place for you. We value open, yet respectful communication and real-time feedback to help each other grow quickly. If you’re passionate about gaming and have a knack for gamifying everyday life, you’ll thrive in our fast-moving, collaborative environment.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who deeply understands internet culture, platform dynamics, and how content shapes brand perception. This is a highly strategic and executional role - owning how favorited shows up across all social platforms while driving growth, engagement, and cultural relevance.

You won’t just post content - you’ll translate product, community, and brand into culture, ensuring everything we create feels native, timely, and impactful. You should be equally comfortable thinking about long-term brand equity as you are jumping on a trend in real time.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage favorited’s presence across all social platforms (established and emerging).

  • Develop and execute a content strategy that drives growth, engagement, and brand affinity.

  • Translate product features, creator moments, and platform behaviors into compelling, native social content.

  • Ensure content aligns with and strengthens brand image, voice, and positioning.

  • Identify and act on trends, memes, and cultural moments with speed and precision.

  • Optimize content performance through data, testing, and iteration.

  • Partner cross-functionally with product, marketing, and creator teams to ensure social is integrated into the broader platform ecosystem.

  • Build and nurture a strong community presence, engaging directly with users and creators.

  • Continuously evaluate new platforms, formats, and opportunities for expansion.

  • Manage content calendars while maintaining flexibility for real-time opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–8 years of experience in social media, content, or digital marketing, ideally in consumer tech, gaming, or entertainment.

  • Deep understanding of all major social platforms and emerging channels.

  • Strong intuition for how content translates into brand perception and growth.

  • Proven track record of driving audience growth and engagement across channels.

  • Deep understanding of community-building and brand value creation.

  • Ability to seamlessly fit content into a broader product and platform narrative.

  • Strong grasp of streaming culture, creator ecosystems, and meme literacy.

  • Highly creative with a strong point of view on what works and why.

  • Ability to move quickly, prioritize effectively, and execute in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

What Stands Out

  • A sharp, native understanding of internet culture and humor.

  • Experience building or growing social accounts from early stages.

  • Strong taste level and ability to balance trend participation with brand consistency.

  • Obsession with what makes content shareable, memorable, and culturally relevant.

Salary & Benefits

Compensation: $71k - $120k base salary + options.

Benefits Include:

  • Unlimited PTO to prioritize work-life balance.

  • 401(k) plan to invest in your future.

  • Comprehensive health insurance to support your well-being.

  • Paid company holidays for time to recharge.

  • Competitive salary that reflects your impact and contributions.
