These roles are performed in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered..POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:$10,000 sign on bonus.Relocation stipend.Fulltime | 3 12-hour shifts per week | Wed./Thu./Fri.Industry competitive rates.Shift differentials are available.The sign-on bonus and relocation stipend are not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past twelve months.The sign-on bonus and relocation stipend are only available for full-time positions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.Provides appropriate radiation protection to patient, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.May be designated as an interim shift lead in the absence of the Radiology Technologist Team Lead.Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES:Anatomy & Physiology Knowledge (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of anatomy and physiology knowledge in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.Radiology (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of radiology services in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.Patient Documentation (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of patient documentation in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering patient documentation services without requiring support and instruction from others.
