The Security Officer keeps guests and team members safe, protects company assets and helps maintain order on the property.
- Walk and monitor assigned areas of the casino, hotel, and parking lot to deter crime and spot safety hazards.
- Protect company assets.
- Verify identification at entrances and on the gaming floor to ensure minors stay off the floor.
- Assist in emergency situations by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advise personnel of threats and potential threats, summon emergency responders to the incident, and initiate and conduct evacuation procedures.
- Render appropriate first aid to injured persons and follow established protocols for reporting injuries.
- Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment and restraint devices.
- Demonstrated ability to follow supervisory instructions promptly and effectively.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a current valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Report.
- Must be able to obtain and possess a Mississippi Gaming License.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
- Able to communicate clearly with staff, management, and the public through oral and written words.
- Must show respect and be able to adapt to different values, cultures, or backgrounds when dealing with difficult people or situations.
- Demonstrated commitment to integrity and ethical conduct.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be “team centered" and promote a positive work environment.
- Must work well with other departments and management as necessary.
- Neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
- Candidates are required to successfully complete all required training.
- Must become CPR/AED certified and meet standards on the Caesars CPR Simulation evaluation.
- Ability to move from location to location at appropriate speeds.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.
