Job Description
As a Security Officer Truck Gate in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, where you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and help maintain a secure environment for personnel and operations. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and team members, and use computer or tablet systems to support access procedures. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials, manage visitor and driver access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Screen deliveries, shipments, and vendor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
