Associate, Risk Technology Specialist, CTOA, Group Technology

• Technology is key to enabling the DBS vision of being the leading bank in Asia.  To meet the challenges arising from the ever-evolving technological advancements and increasing sophistication and demands of customers, Technology Risk Specialist to ensure robust risk governance.
• As a member of the Technology Risk team, you will oversee a portfolio of technology risk management activities (includes participating in any technology risk management related initiatives), with a focus on:

Review and assessment of Change Requests (CRs), supporting change management processes, and assisting in enhancing risk control mechanisms through data analysis and process improvement initiatives.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the department head in all governance, risk, and control matters pertaining to risk.
• Derive mechanisms and programs to enhance the risk posture of the department.
• Utilize AI/ML techniques to drive the cultural change from preventive and detective risk management to predictive risk management.
• Manage the Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) reporting and track KRIs to prevent breaches.
• Review and verify Change Requests (CRs) to ensure documentation is comprehensive and compliant, helping to prevent audit findings.
• Highlight any potential unauthorized changes, work with application teams for clarification, and assist in collecting artifacts to close cases with ISS.
• Track adoption rates (e.g., Privileged Session Manager (PSM)) and support post-privileged activity review processes.
• Review recorded sessions (e.g., Citrix/PSM) or automated log analysis results to ensure only authorized changes are performed.
• Analyse data and identify trends, patterns, and insights that support risk control and process improvement initiatives.
• Conduct analysis of Failed Changes and Emergency Change Requests (ECRs), utilizing available tools and models (including LLM models) to identify trends and common failure reasons.
• Provide support in Change Knowledge Base creation, leveraging historical data for impact analysis and CR review.

 

Required Experience

• At least 3-5 years of experience preferably with exposure on technology risk management
• Demonstrate experience in identifying, assessing and advising on technology risks.
• Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and operating skills to effectively drive the IT risk agenda with IT functions.
• Strong communication skills at all levels -- able to effectively communicate with IT and line staff to drive IT risk mitigation initiatives and other IT risk management related areas.
• Good technical competencies and exposure to IT application or infrastructure development, support and management.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s/master's in computer science, or related field, preferably in Information Technology, Risk Management, or a quantitative discipline would likely be beneficial.

• Python code skill and use of LLM such as Claude for automation of processes would be beneficial.
