We are seeking a Global Senior Vice President of Sales to build and lead a modern, world-class commercial organization that delivers durable share gain, profitable growth, and customer impact—while driving a step-change transformation in how we sell, serve, and win.

This is a high-authority, high-accountability role with broad influence across strategy, go-to-market, talent, and operating cadence—powered by the Danaher Business System (DBS). The right leader will see this as an arena to create a growth engine that scales globally, develops leaders, and sets a new standard for commercial excellence.

The mandate

You will own global sales performance and lead a transformation that strengthens:

  • Commercial execution: operating cadence, forecasting, funnel rigor, account management, and field productivity

  • Customer intimacy and market insight: translating customer needs and market shifts into action and share gain
  • Talent and culture: building a high-performing, inclusive organization with strong bench strength
  • Cross-Danaher leverage: partnerships and synergies across OpCos to win larger with customers

What success looks like (your scoreboard)

You will be measured by outcomes such as:

  • Profitable revenue growth and sustained market share gains
  • Improved forecast accuracy and commercial operating rigor
  • Higher conversion and win rates, healthier pipeline/funnel dynamics

  • Stronger customer outcomes (retention, expansion, NPS where applicable)
  • A visible, ready-now succession pipeline and elevated leadership capability globally

Key responsibilities

1) Deliver profitable growth and durable share gain

  • Set and execute a global commercial growth strategy with clear priorities, initiatives, and accountability.
  • Translate customer and market insight into segment-specific plays that drive measurable share gain.
  • Lead global planning and operating rhythms (targets, forecasting, performance reviews, corrective action).
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Service, and Regional leaders to turn launches and solutions into adoption and pull-through.
  • Anticipate and respond to disruptions and competitive moves with speed and discipline.

2) Build a modern, scalable sales system (DBS-powered)

  • Implement and continuously improve commercial fundamentals using DBS: daily/weekly management, problem-solving, standard work, and KPI-driven execution.
  • Upgrade systems for coverage, account planning, territory design, pipeline management, and pricing/value conversations (as applicable).
  • Drive resource allocation decisions with a clear ROI lens—placing investment where it wins.

3) Develop elite talent and a high-performance culture

  • Build, coach, and retain a diverse global leadership team that raises the bar for performance and integrity.
  • Create a culture that combines psychological safety with high accountability, clear standards, direct feedback, and coaching.
  • Establish succession plans and development pathways at every level; make leadership development a visible operating mechanism.

4) Win as one—cross-functional and across Danaher

  • Lead commercial partnerships with Danaher OpCos to unlock customer coverage, bundled value, and enterprise wins.
  • Represent the company with key customers, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Support growth acceleration through M&A: identifying opportunities, diligence input, and integration leadership for commercial workstreams.

Education

  • Master degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a technical vocation.  An advanced degree is strongly preferred.

“Must Have” Competencies / Skills / Experience

  • Significant experience leading a large, complex, global commercial leadership team.
