Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a University Relations & Recruiting Talent Acquisition Business Partner to join our Talent Acquisition (TA) team to help support the execution of our campus recruitment programs for our Mission Systems sector.
As a member of the Mission Systems UR&R team, you will perform full life-cycle recruiting and work in a dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility and creativity. You will guide applicants through the recruiting process and use effective techniques to close the deal. You will use thought leadership when working with hiring teams and demonstrate strong oral communications skills.
This is a virtual position that may be filled in any CONUS location (proximity to Baltimore, MD is preferred). Selection is based on most qualified candidate. There may be up to 25% travel in support of the business.
We are looking for recruiters who are not afraid to leverage the power of talent market intelligence/research to drive strategic, effective and innovative sourcing strategies that ultimately support our mission. Are you comfortable managing competing demands, accepting constructive feedback, adaptable and flexible to changing business requirements? If so, you could support a broad customer base in a highly complex, technical environment.
In this role you will:
- Manage full life cycle recruitment for regional and site specific college and intern hiring requisitions.
- Collaborate with Enterprise and Sector UR&R to create talent strategies and participate and attend events at focus Universities.
- Proactively conduct targeted searches for top talent at our focus Universities.
- Leverage on campus efforts to generate a strong candidate pool for regional and site specific hiring events.
- Maintain ongoing contact with top college and intern talent from focus universities and update candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure data integrity.
- Analyze UR&R metrics.
- Identify and implement process improvements that drive operating excellence.
- Conduct candidate screens of top talent from our focus Universities
- Drive the recruiting process to include: partnering with hiring managers to write compelling job descriptions, ensuring proper classification and level, source and screen candidates, conduct/coordinate interviews, make recommendations to hiring managers and work with partners and support staff to extend offers, driving negotiations as needed
Successful candidates will have exposure to the college recruiting space and display the ability to consult with all levels of internal and external customers, including students and University partners, Hiring Managers and various levels of leadership.

Basic Qualifications for a University Relations & Recruiting Talent Acquisition Business Partner :
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 or more years of experience with recruiting, sourcing, recruiting support, HR or closely related experience; OR a Master’s degree.
- Ability to occasionally travel around the region to assist with events, and in support of the business
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with UR&R recruiting
- Excellent planning and organizational experience
- Experience managing multiple high priority projects effectively in a high volume, fast-paced service environment
- Experience with server-based applicant tracking systems, ideally Workday and Eightfold

Primary Level Salary Range: $69,000.00 - $103,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
