With this comes incredible potential for career growth at Sungrow, including the possibility of building and leading a local EV engineering team in the future.Please note that this role involves up to 60% travel, meaning you’ll be on-site approximately three days per week. Here are your key responsibilities—don’t worry, you’ve got this:Customer Service:Device Monitoring & Remote Diagnostics: Proactively monitor commissioned EV chargers remotely to identify potential issues. Remotely diagnose and resolve charger malfunctions, communication problems (with local inverters, energy meters, onboard controllers, or customer SCADA devices), and electrical, electronic, or control system issues. Provide clear explanations to customers for problem identification, fostering confidence in Sungrow's products. Implement proactive measures (remote reboots, setting modifications, firmware patching) to ensure high fleet availability and minimize device downtime.Commissioning & Field Troubleshooting: Align with customer requirements for commissioning of new chagers. Provide remote support for commissioning tasks through clear instructions and remote assistance. Plan and coordinate on-site commissioning with various parties (installers, electricians, platform technicians). Integrate EV chargers into customer systems (local grid, EMS controllers, OCPP backend, shared meters) and configure them appropriately to ensure safe and seamless operation. Lead on-site troubleshooting for complex technical issues and replace malfunctioning components, ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations.Specialized Tool Expertise: Develop and utilize expertise in Sungrow’s monitoring tools for proactive issue identification.Product Improvement & Data Management:Quality Issue Reporting: Identify and document recurring quality problems for product, R&D, and manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement. Database Management: Maintain and update customer and issue databases for accurate record-keeping. Data Processing Enhancement: Contribute to improving data processing techniques within internal platforms to enhance performance evaluation and malfunction detection.Your profileNow that you have a better idea of what this role entails, let’s talk about the skills and background that will help you feel comfortable and thrive in this position.Since this role revolves around electrical equipment, the following qualifications are essential:Hands-on experience in the electro-technical field, along with a passion for green technology and strong hands-on skills and analysis abilities to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site.Strong knowledge of TCP/IP network system and experience using command-line tools for troubleshooting network issues. Experience on OCPP and Modbus-TCP communication protocols is highly advantageous.Ability to interpret electrical single-line diagrams for diagnosing system performance and faults. Technical expertise, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and/or professional statistical analysis software. Linux proficiency is highly advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively assist non-technical customers in troubleshooting scenarios. Language proficiency: English (B2 level or higher) is required; German proficiency is a big plus.Location & Travel: Must be based in Austria, with the flexibility to travel occasionally for training and troubleshooting.
