The Salesforce Senior Developer will be a core technical contributor on the Salesforce Sales Cycle team, responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining scalable Salesforce solutions that drive and optimize sales operations. Working in close partnership with sales stakeholders, business analysts, and solution architects, this role translates complex business needs into elegant, performant Salesforce implementations. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on platform expertise, strong knowledge of Sales Cloud capabilities, and a collaborative mindset to help the sales organization achieve its goals through technology.
What You'll Do:
- Design, build, test, and deploy Salesforce customizations including Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and Process Automations aligned to Sales team business requirements.
- Partner with Sales stakeholders, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to understand sales workflows and translate them into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
- Own and enhance Sales Cloud capabilities including Account & Contact Management, Opportunity Management, Lead Management, Territory Management, and Sales Forecasting.
- Develop and manage system integrations between Salesforce and downstream/upstream platforms (e.g., ERP, marketing automation, data warehouses) using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, and middleware tools.
- Lead code reviews and uphold engineering standards, including governor limit awareness, security best practices, and clean code principles.
- Actively participate in CI/CD pipeline management and deployment processes using tools such as Salesforce DX, Copado, or GitHub Actions.
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies — sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Identify and address technical debt, performance gaps, and platform risks proactively.
- Stay current with Salesforce tri-annual releases and evaluate new features for Sales team applicability.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation including solution designs, entity-relationship diagrams, and deployment guides.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior and mid-level developers on the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of Salesforce development experience with a strong hands-on track record.
- Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and declarative automation tools (Flow, Process Builder).
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud and core sales business processes.
- Demonstrated experience with Salesforce integrations via REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, or middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi).
- Solid understanding of Salesforce security model: profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-level security.
- Familiarity with Salesforce DX, version control (Git), and modern DevOps practices.
- Active Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I certification.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Sales Cloud Consultant, or Salesforce Application Architect certifications.
- Knowledge of DevOps/CI-CD toolchains such as Copado, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins in a Salesforce context.
- Prior industry experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical distribution, or life sciences (aligned with Cencora's business).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions for non-technical sales stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience coaching or mentoring junior developers on Salesforce best practices.
- Exposure to Salesforce Shield, Event Monitoring, or platform data security and compliance tools.
Experience with data migration tools (e.g., Data Loader, Informatica) for large-scale sales data management.
