EXP is seeking a experienced Hydrogeologist to join our Geo-Environmental Group in Cambridge, Ontario. What a day at EXP has in store for you
As a member of the Hydrogeology team, you will provide technical and project support, across a broad range of assignments, including:
- Partnering with clients to understand needs and deliver practical, value driven solutions
- Leading and shaping scopes of work for public and private clients on small to large scale infrastructure projects
- Managing and Executing hydrogeological studies, including:
o Groundwater resource development
o Groundwater Characterization Studies, including chemistry analysis and interpretations
o Studies to support septic applications, including LSSDS
o Construction dewatering programs
o Pump test design, analysis, and interpretation
o Municipal Sewer discharge studies, reports and permits
o MECP Permits (dewatering, ECAs) - Project management and coordination of site investigation and compliance programs
Coordinating and supervising field programs - Reviewing and guiding the technical work of junior and intermediate staff
- Preparing and reviewing high quality technical reports
- Supporting proposal development and contributing to business growth
What your experience looks like
- University degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or a related discipline
(Master’s degree is an asset) - Minimum 3 years of experience in physical hydrogeology
- Strong field based experience in groundwater supply, hydrogeological investigations, and assessments
- Professional designation in Ontario (P.Geo. or P.Eng.) is an asset
- Experience with GIS/CAD programs and groundwater modelling is an asset
- Proven success developing client relationships and contributing to winning proposals
- Hands on experience working with MECP, municipalities, and Conservation Authorities
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary projects from planning through delivery
- Strong business acumen and a practical, solution focused mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing junior staff
- Comfortable operating in a high demand, fast paced environment

The salary range for this role is between $65K - $85K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
