What You Will Do
- Own end-to-end quality strategy for your cluster, ensuring high confidence releases and strong player experience across all pods
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing QA team, including hiring, mentoring, and driving performance excellence
- Demonstrate excellence in team management, task management, and cross-pod coordination, ensuring optimal planning, prioritization, and execution across multiple workstreams
- Define and drive test strategy, coverage, and risk-based validation approaches across features, content, and technical initiatives
- Champion a shift-left approach, actively contributing during design and early development phases to identify risks, gaps, and quality concerns
- Approach validation with a product and player-first mindset, evaluating features not just from a QA perspective but from an end-user and business impact standpoint
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Art to influence quality decisions, ensuring alignment with player expectations and business goals
- Establish, maintain, and analyze quality metrics and reports (defect leakage, coverage, cycle time, live issues), ensuring data is tracked effectively and used to drive continuous improvement
- Own release quality and risk assessment, providing clear recommendations and participating in Go/No-Go decisions
- Drive automation and efficiency initiatives, including leveraging modern tools and exploring AI-driven approaches to improve scalability and effectiveness
- Manage and collaborate with external QA partners, ensuring clear expectations, high-quality output, and effective utilization
- Maintain strong visibility across stakeholders by proactively communicating progress, risks, and blockers
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of QA experience, including 3+ years in a QA leadership or people-management role
- Proven ability to build, lead, mentor, and upskill QA teams while driving performance and accountability
- Strong experience in team planning, task prioritization, capacity management, and cross-functional coordination across multiple pods or workstreams
- Ability to balance strategic QA leadership with hands-on testing, debugging, and critical release validation
- Strong understanding of modern QA practices, including risk-based testing, shift-left testing, test strategy, and continuous improvement.
- Product-oriented and player-centric mindset, with the ability to assess quality from user experience, business impact, and release-risk perspectives
- Experience defining, tracking, and using quality metrics, dashboards, and reports to drive decisions and improvements
- Experience owning release quality, risk assessments, and providing clear Go/No-Go recommendations
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and ability to communicate risks, progress, and blockers proactively
- Deep familiarity with Jira, test management systems, defect management, and QA reporting tools
Bonus Points
- Experience in mobile gaming, casual games, or live-service environments
- Strong gaming mindset and understanding of player behaviour, engagement mechanics, progression, rewards, and LiveOps
- Prior experience testing Slots, Casino, or casino-style games
- Experience managing or collaborating with external, offshore, or vendor QA teams
- Exposure to automation frameworks, test automation strategy, and AI-driven testing approaches
- Demonstrated interest in industry standards and continuous upskilling in evolving QA practices
