Assistant Manager, Partnership Accounting

SUMMARY This role is primarily responsible for reviewing and overseeing accounting and reporting related duties for Welltower partnerships and operator relationships. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead a team of 2-3 accountants Review financial information received from various operating partners Manage the flow of operating partner financial information throughout the organization Communicate and facilitate accounting initiatives with operating partners Review intercompany transactions and monitor balances for proper elimination Analyze monthly financial results from operating partners Review journal entries and monthly internal controls Approve monthly cash distributions to operating partners OTHER DUTIES Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of this employee for this job. TRAVEL Minimal travel is expected for this position MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required Work experience of at least six years Knowledge of accounting theory, including GAAP and IFRS, is required Professional certification of CPA or equivalent is strongly desired Familiarity with real estate and international experience is a plus The ideal candidate will exhibit A strong focus towards customer service The ability to self-motivate and work in a dynamic environment The ability to work both collaboratively and independently A positive and professional attitude The ability to problem-solve individually Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and verification of employment, education, and other credentials relevant to the position.
