Program Summary
The MISS program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at supporting the US Department of State’s operations in Iraq. In addition to providing ongoing base operations and Life Support Services, KBR will provide differentiated advisory and consultancy capabilities to the Iraqi Government with a focus on creating an effective program environment to support delivery of strategic economic planning, strategy development, feasibility studies, technical reviews and large-scale project management. Under this contract KBR will provide facility maintenance, procurement, critical supply functions, along with food service, base camp operations, renovations, construction, and medical services.
Job Summary
The Janitor supports KBR operations under the U.S. Mission Iraq (MISS) by maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary facilities in accordance with U.S. Government, embassy, and KBR standards. The role is essential to health, safety, and mission continuity.
Please note: This position is located in Baghdad, Iraq and is contingent on award.
Roles and Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize offices, hallways, restrooms, stairwells, and common areas
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
Clean windows, glass partitions, and doors
Disinfect frequently touched surfaces (doorknobs, railings, desks)
Refill restroom supplies (soap, paper towels, tissue)
Basic Qualifications
Must be a Local National
Must be able to communicate (read/write/speak) English
Must be able to obtain and maintain a MRPT
Must obtain and maintain local base access
Must possess a valid Country or International Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
Previous janitorial or custodial experience, preferably in government, embassy, or military facilities
Experience working in a secure or controlled environment
Familiarity with U.S. Government or KBR cleaning and sanitation standards
Knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment (SDS/MSDS)
Basic English communication skills (verbal and written)
