Job Description
As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Driver in Bay City, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and staff. - Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, shoppers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions in accordance with site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and mall common areas, business locations, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and delivery activity, and report maintenance, lighting, or other property concerns to appropriate site contacts.
- Maintain a professional presence while assisting with directions, answering questions, and supporting a welcoming retail environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
