Under general supervision, the incumbent aggressively markets the J.B. Hunt brand to develop new business with established customers. This position will evaluate a customer's current transportation requirements and provide a solution from J.B. Hunt's service offerings. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the life cycle of the load from securing the award, collecting load information, monitoring service, and supporting accounts receivables efforts.Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
• Build customer relations by monitoring and promptly responding to order requests to increase freight volume
• Increase customer satisfaction through regular touchpoints with clients and various internal departments to maximize opportunities • Manage partnership with internal marketing teams to drive, analyze, and revise marketing campaign efforts targeted to respective customer base
• Negotiate spot prices to secure incremental business
• Monitor freight needs by understanding daily individual business segment activities to ensure maximum asset utilization
• Proactively communicate internally and externally, by responding to information requests, checking load status, and solving problems to achieve customer satisfaction and minimize service failures
• Digitally accept, auto-accept, and manually enter customer orders into the order management system to execute on loads
• Partner with respective Credit and Accounts Receivables teams to establish lines of credit, determine limits for returning customers, and support collection of outstanding balances
• Review margins and operating revenue for their assigned customer base
• Manage marketing feedback data to maintain current customer profiles
• Leverage J B Hunt’s technology and tools and educate and encourage clients to utilize the tools
• Develop and monitor book of business that align expectations and maximize business potential through soliciting sales to actualize leads
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED with 1-2 years of sales, transportation, account/client management, or relevant experience, and/or military equivalent OR Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related transportation fields
- AND Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences
- Knowledge of standard transportation industry terminology and service offerings
- Knowledge of J.B. Hunt and service offerings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas through various mediums
- Ability to work with minimal direction
- Ability to maintain composure and influence during tough conversations
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and shifting priorities and directives
- Ability to perform in a stressful and high-pressure work environment
- Ability to think critically and problem-solve for customers on an ongoing basis
- Knowledge of basic North American geography including states, major cities, and time zones
- Knowledge of the activities and responsibilities involved in selling a product or service
- Ability to analyze customer activities, profiles, and information
- Ability to develop transactional pricing strategies that support business objectives
- Ability to develop and track challenging goals that support business strategies

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
